Sculpture
Hand carved stone sculptures made in the Pacific Northwest. As a beginning carver, my work is evolving in material and complexity. Each piece is made by hand with hammer and chisel, then smoothed further, and ultimately polished. I use a stone sealer to help maintain beauty of the stone.
It takes 10 to 200 hours depending on the hardness of the stone and complexity of the form. I am currently working with soapstone, alabaster, and marble.
