This is a distinctive black and white birch tree forest design. This is a hand crafted fused glass tray. It is a handmade fused glass piece with a shallow curvature iand s perfect for decoration or everyday use.
I start with a base of white art glass and hand create the shadows and birch tree patterns using a stencil and a liquid glass powder mix. It is then capped with a clear piece of art glass to add depth and thickness. I fully fuse these together in the kiln. The piece is then fired in the kiln a second time to slump it into a bowl form.
All pieces are hand created in my studio. The process includes selecting, cutting, assembling, and firing.
