This is a fun design of a thistle and flowers entering an early winter. Inspired by recent changes in my garden. This is a hand crafted fused glass bowl/tray. It is a handmade fused glass piece with a shallow curvature and is perfect for decoration or everyday use.
I start with a base of clear art glass and hand create the thistle and flowers patterns using colored ground glass (frit). It is then capped with a clear piece of art glass to add depth and thickness. I fully fuse these together in the kiln. The piece is then fired in the kiln a second time to slump it into a bowl form.
All pieces are hand created in my studio. The process includes selecting, cutting, assembling, and firing.
Includes a set of 3 rubber feet as an option for better anti-scratch/skid on certain surfaces
