This elegant Dalmatian Jasper, also known as Dalmstian Stone or Dalmatine, pendant is hand crafted here in the US in Washington State. This piece has beige creamy white with black spots, just like the Dalmatian dog, hence the name. It is mounted with a silver plated pinch bail on on an economy 18" silver plated chain.
It consists predominantly of feldspars (mesoperthite), quartz, alkali amphiboles, and lesser amounts of hematite and epidote. The laare arfvedsonite. Although most people call it “dalmatian jasper,” the term “dalmatian stone”is more appropriate since the material does not meet the gemological definition of true jasper.
