The result is a dramatic contrast between the polished metallic surface and the glittering crystal cavities within. Many of these vugs reveal well-formed crystals, often displaying the natural cubic, octahedral, or dodecahedral forms that make pyrite so fascinating to collectors.

Often called “Fool’s Gold” or iron pyrite, these specimens are far beyond the dull nuggets commonly found in souvenir shops. I purchase these directly from the mine owner in Peru, ensuring significantly higher grades with sharper crystal definition and brilliant metallic luster.

With their cratered openings revealing glittering crystal interiors, these spheres have a distinctive look that many people say resembles a mini “Death Star.” They are rare to find in this style, and my first batch sold out quickly during my first two shows.
