A beautiful hand crafted fused glass square bowl featuring a hand drawn pattern inspired by summer picnics. This is perfect for small condiments on a dinner table, to hold a ring, or as a pill dish for vitamins or medication. This handmade fused glass plate has a distinct deep curvature perfect for decoration or everyday use.
I start with a base of clear glass and hand draw the main pattern with blue and red liquid glass mixtures. I then sprinkle in yellow and orange crushed glass pieces (frit). I next add a clear top piece to add thickness and depth in the patter. I fully fuse these together in the kiln. I then fire the piece in the kiln a second time to slump it into a bowl form.
All pieces are hand created in my studio. The process includes selecting, cutting, assembling, and firing.
